With the final game of the season, the Panthers traveled to Mendenhall to face off against the Mendenhall Tigers.
In the first quarter of the game, #5 MyKeas Davis kicked off the game with a punt to the Tigers’ 19 yard line and again at the Panthers’ 20 yard line to the Tiger 45 yard line. #2 Lamarius James followed up with a run to the Tigers’ 25 yard line. #4 DaQuavion Wilson pushed the Tigers back to the 5 yard line and then scored a touchdown for the Panthers. With a bad PAT, the Panthers only scored 6 points, whereas the Tigers had nothing. The Tigers soon changed that when they scored a touchdown against the Panthers with an unsuccessful PAT. The score was then tied Panthers 6 and Tigers 6.
The second quarter of the game, #2 Lamarius James was injured and put out of the game, but through his struggle with his injury, he always tried to cheer his team and offer words of wisdom to keep everyone focused on the game and its outcome.
After the Halftime, the Tigers pushed the ball to the Panther 27 before they scored a touchdown against the Panthers with a bad PAT; the score was Panthers 6 - Tigers 12. The Tigers punted the ball from the Tigers 35, where #5 Mykeas Davis caught the ball on the Panthers’ 20 yard line and ran the ball to the Tigers’ end zone for one of the best plays of the Panthers’ season. The touchdown was followed with a successful two point conversion. The score was then Panthers 14 - Tigers 12.
In the final quarter of the game, the Tigers scored a touchdown against the Panthers with a successful two point conversion. The score was then Panthers 14 - Tigers 20. #4 DaQuavion Wilson scored a touchdown with the Panthers scoring a successful two point conversion. The score was then Panthers 22 - Tigers 20. The Panthers’ early victory came to an abrupt and heart breaking end as the final score in the game was scored by the Tigers with a successful two point conversion.
The final score of the game was Panthers 22 and Tigers 28.
