I, Greg Mangum, would like to announce my candidacy for mayor of the Town of Stonewall.
I am married to Brittney Ivy Mangum of Quitman, and we have one son, Kamryn Malachi Mangum. I am a 2007 graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School. I’m a 2009 graduate of Meridian Community College where I received an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts. I’m a 2012 graduate of Southeastern Baptist College with an Associate Degree in Bible. I graduated in 2018 from Faith Bible Institute with a Bachelor Degree in Bible.
I am a small business owner. Since 2019, I have owned Mangum Insurance Agency in Quitman. I also serve as the pastor of Old Paths Baptist Church in Meridian. For the last four years, I have served as an alderman representing the citizens of Stonewall.
Over the last four years, we’ve made some great progress. We’ve made incredible upgrades to our water and sewer systems. We’ve made vital repairs to our infrastructure, making our streets safer to travel on. Many overgrown properties have been cleaned up in an effort to help keep our town clean. We’ve also given our hard-working employees the first raise they’ve had in years.
Though we’ve made some great progress, I’m not done fighting for Stonewall. I’m now asking the citizens that elected me four years ago to serve as your alderman to now give me the opportunity to serve as your next mayor so I can fight even harder for Stonewall.
If given the opportunity to be elected your next mayor, I will work tirelessly to bring new jobs and industries to Stonewall that will retain our town’s talent and attract new people to call our town home. I will prioritize beautification projects to improve the appearance of our town, including working to get neglected properties cleaned up. I will also continue to work to improve our infrastructure to make our streets and roads safer to travel on.
If you share these same values with me, I’d ask that you please give me the opportunity to be your next mayor. Please vote for Greg Mangum for mayor in the Republican Primary on Tuesday, April 6.
