Johnson and Reid to Wed

Mr. James C. Johnson Jr. and Mrs. Jerri Waltman Johnson, former residents of Quitman, MS, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, AnnaGrace Johnson to David Bryce Reid (Hons)*, son of Willam Bryce Reid and Janet Reid (JP, BEd)* of Holmer Green, United Kingdom. Due to restrictions brought forth by the Corona Virus, the wedding vows will take place on the 12th of December, 2020, at The Windsor Guild Hall in Windsor, United Kingdom, with a larger wedding and reception being held at Stoke Park on Saturday, the 17th of April 2021. The wedding vows will be live-streamed online for family and friends who wish to watch at home. 

AnnaGrace is the granddaughter of the late Gerald Waltman Sr. and Harriet Waltman of Quitman, MS, and the late James C. Johnson Sr. and Shelia Johnson of Stonewall, MS. 

Mr. Reid is the grandson of the late James Doeg Reid and Margaret Mary Reid of Clunie, Scotland, and the late Dr. Kenneth Playfair Duncan (CBE, FRCP, FRCPE)* and Dr. Gillian Crow Duncan (OBE, JP, MBChB)* of Steeple Aston, England. The bride will be wearing a custom couture gown crafted by the Scotland based Atelier, Mette Baillie, for the small civil ceremony. For the wedding in April, the bride will wear a gown gifted to her by her maternal grandmother, Harriet Waltman. The couple will be residing in the United Kingdom.

•Hons= Honored

•JP= Justice of the Peace

•CB= Companion of the Order of the Bath. The Order of the Bath is an order of chivalry and was founded in 1725 by King George I for service of the highest calibre, and was often part of the preparation of a candidate for knighthood.

•FRCP= Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians 

•FRCPE= Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh 

•OBE= Officer of the British Empire. 

King George V created these honours to award those for prominent national or regional roles and to those making distinguished or notable contributions in their own specific areas of activity.
