Mr. Ray "Brat" Wilkinson, 82, of Quitman, MS, passed from this life Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS. He was born in Yazoo City, MS, on Wednesday, January 25, 1939, to John Wilkinson and Lou Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson served in the United States Army. He was Elder of Jesus Name Gospel Lighthouse Church and had also worked as a Truck Driver. Mr. Wilkinson is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Wilkinson; father, John Wilkinson; mother, Lou Wilkinson; three sons, Louis Ray Wilkinson, Jr., Samuel Earl Wilkinson, Charles Richard Johnson; daughter, Regina Bowden; two brothers, Earl Wilkinson, Doots Wilkinson; three sisters, Kate Rogers, Judy Chapman, Vanessa Mott. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Wilkinson, Quitman, MS; four sons, J. P. Wilkinson (Hayley), Brooksville, MS, Willie Wilkinson (Krystal), Millport, AL, Michael Wilkinson (Debbie), Crawford, MS, Tony Terrell, Purvis, MS; five daughters, Rhonda Wilkinson (James), Quitman, MS, Renee Bingham (Steve), Shubuta, MS, Tammie Russell, Sumrall, MS, Lena Nabors, Millport, AL, Mandy Smith (Scott), Millport, AL; three brothers, Bervon Wilkinson, Douglas, GA, Malon Wilkinson, Nichols, GA, Johnny Wilkinson, Laurel, MS; two sisters, Alice Williamson, Horn Lake, MS, Ruby Wilkinson, Yazoo City, MS; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation for Mr. Wilkinson was held from 6:00 p.m. until, Friday, March 5, 2021, at Jesus Name Gospel Lighthouse Church, 5206 County Road 672, Quitman, MS 39355. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Jesus Name Gospel Lighthouse Church in Quitman, MS with Bro. Johnny Wilkinson and Bro. Marcus Wilkinson officiating. Interment was in Jesus Name Gospel Lighthouse Cemetery in Quitman, MS.
