Richard Sidney Owen, 79, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on October 1, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on October 20, 1940, in DeSoto, MS.
Richard is survived by his wife, Ernestine K. Owen; two sons, Billy (Sherry) Owen and Richie (Julie) Owen; brother, Jolly Owen; sister, Eva Owen; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Owen; mother, Florence Britton; sister, Lena Staubt; and brother, Raz Britton, III.
Visitation was held Saturday, October 3, 2020, after 3:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, October 3, 2020, 4:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Tony Volking officiating.
Burial took place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ben Owen, Hunter Owen, Blake Owen, Caleb Mercer, and Kyle Farris.
