Roger L. McHenry, 79, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on January 29, 2021, at Anderson's Hospital.
He was born on November 16, 1941, to Edna and Burnis McHenry in Clarke County, MS. Roger was a life-long resident of Quitman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Quitman. He was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Roger is survived by his wife, Jimmie Carol McHenry; daughter, Gina Amaxopulos; sons, Jeffery Lamar (Angie) McHenry and Kelly Andrew (Amy) McHenry; sister, Temple (Walter) Couch; brothers, Roy (Barbara) McHenry and Terry Ford; sister-in-law, Carolyn McHenry; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Burnis McHenry; stepfather, Jessie Ford; and brother, Rodney McHenry.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Stan Majure officiating.
Burial took place in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roger's grandsons, Ben Humphrey, Simon Amaxopulos, Cody McHenry, and Jacob McHenry and nephews, Scott McHenry and Michael McHenry.
