At the regularly scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, May 20, the Quitman Board of Aldermen discussed Veto Message 010 that was issued by Mayor Steve Watkins on May 8. The veto was to overrule a decision made by the board on May 6 to allow beer to be sold in city limits on a Sunday.
