Identity of body found in drainage ditch confirmed as Arkansas woman

Authorities have determined that the body discovered Saturday morning in a watery drainage ditch near a Greenwood highway belonged to an Arkansas woman who they believe had been staying at a nearby hotel.
They still don’t know, though, what caused her death.

The annual Christmas Parade in Stonewall was held Saturday afternoon. One of the many participants was Souenlovie Baptist Church where members decorated their float with a beautiful theme of “Oh Holy Night.”

Clarke County Relay raises $73K

Clarke County Relay for Life Second Edition was held Saturday night, May 21 at the Quitman Depot.
The closing ceremonies were rained out in April and continued to Saturday.
Overall total raised to date: $73,049.55
Most Money Raised By Churches:
1st place: First United Methodist Church of Quitman-$6,142.32
