Speaker of the House Philip Gunn was watching his son play baseball in Louisiana on June 20, 2020, when he got a call from Rep. Jason White, the second highest-ranking House member and a top lieutenant of Gunn’s.
“Mr. Speaker, you’re never going to believe who I just got off the phone with,” White told Gunn.

Miles on the River RV Park opens at Gappy’s location

Camping lovers everywhere will be thrilled with a new camp area on the river at the old Gappy’s Fish Camp location: Miles on the River RV Park.
Owners Billy and Shanna Miles have already converted the area into a great camp area containing sites for campers and a great cabin available for rent.
