4H Show and Sale set for January 11-12

It’s the time of year for the annual Clarke County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale.
Like last year, the special needs show will take place on Thursday instead of Friday. There is a special guest coming to judge the show.

County Wide Mail Out to begin soon

Beginning in January 2016, Clarke County will be conducting a county wide mail out to verify and/or correct addresses of all voters.
Every voter will receive a post card that will list RESIDENCE and MAILING address. If the information is correct, no response is needed.

Three fatalities in Troop H over 4th of July holiday

The Mississippi Highway Patrol concluded its 2016 Fourth of July enforcement period which began Friday, July 1, at 6 p.m. and ended Monday, July 4 at midnight. Throughout the period, MHP issued 7877 citations statewide with 182 DUI arrests.

4H shooting sports kickoff meeting

With hunting season in full swing, sportsmen’s dreams most likely include stalking and harvesting a trophy buck. Hunters are checking their game cameras in an effort to plan a successful hunt. Stories of epic proportion are told and retold at coffee shops and hunting camps.
