Grand Jury Indictments

The Clarke County February Grand Jury completed its two week term. Over 40 indictments were handed down after the cases were presented by law enforcement.

Indicted by the grand jury were:

Shalizi Jaikel Washington, embezzlement

Mary Ellen Dorman, felony DUI

9th Annual Clarke County River Fun Run

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce will host the 9th Annual Clarke County River Fun Run. The Run will go from Quitman to DeSoto. The entry fee is $35 per person. The entry fee includes a t-shirt, lunch, and one entry for a chance to win $250.00.
