For car lovers in the area, there will now be a Motors and Movies at the Stonewall Ballfield on the fourth Saturday each month, weather pending. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. each time.
Jason Sutton, the founder of the event is excited to get it started and have a more unique approach to the traditional cruise in.
“It’s just going to be a cruise in for different cars and motorcycles. We’ll start at 7:00, and then at 8:00, we’re going to watch a movie,” explained Jason. “I have a projector screen, and this month we’ll watch American Graffiti. We’ll do a different movie each month. I was originally going to do it like a regular cruise in but started thinking about how I’ve never been to one that shows a movie or anything and wanted to do something different.”
There will be a limited number of concessions available for purchase at the event.
“We will have some candy, chips, drinks, and things like that,” expressed Jason.
Anyone who brings an antique or custom vehicle to the event has free admission. For walk-ins, there is an $8 donation request, and anyone walking in must be over 18 or accompanied by a parent. People are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to watch the movie.
Come on out to the Stonewall Ballfield at 801 Erwin Road in Stonewall and enjoy looking at custom vehicles and watching a movie each month as long as the weather permits.
