Excited squeals and laughter from kids jumping and tumbling on mats could be heard at On The Move, located at 103 River Road in Enterprise, as they celebrated their one year anniversary and had a ribbon cutting on August 9.
Owner Kristina Crabtree proudly welcomed the large group that came to celebrate and expressed her gratitude for everyone who has made the business so successful in its first year and stated how it has continued to grow.
“I opened this up a year ago,” declared Kristina. “This was very special that we’ve made it a year. I moved back here to Clarke County gym, gymnastics, and fitness, and now we’re offering cheer this year. I just want to say a big thank you to the community members who supported me and supported this business. It’s really special to come back to your hometown. It’s really been a joy to watch all of my dance and gymnastic students grow over a year, and I’m excited to meet all my new students this year who are currently joining On The Move. The fitness side has been really exciting to see, too. It’s just a little bit of everything here. We just want to keep moving, from the smallest of ages to the oldest of ages. That’s the longevity and vision that I had for this business. Thank you for sticking with me for a year, and I hope you’ll stick with me for lots of years to come.”
She offers dance classes for different age groups, including Tiny Tots for two year olds where they learn a mixture of dance and gymnastics to help them develop an interest in them and understand the basics. Along with the Tiny Tots class on Wednesdays, there are dance classes for three to four year olds, five to seven year olds, and eight and above. There is also a gymnastics class that is broken down into age groups: three and four year olds, five to seven year olds, and eight and above. This year, she has also added cheer to the mix.
Along with dance, gymnastics, and cheer, there are a variety of different style workout classes that are offered throughout the week that are able to work for people of any age, and the moves are able to be modified to meet the physical demands of any individual who participates. Some of the fitness classes offered include strength and conditioning, sit & fit (chair fitness), HIIT (high intensity total body workout), circuit training, stretch and tone, and dance fitness for all ages.
There is one other new thing she is trying. She is trying to meet a need that she sees in the homeschool community in the area.
“I’m also branching out into the homeschool community because I just felt that was a community that needed some art and PE,” added Kristina. “I’m offering up my building to the homeschool community, and we’re having art on Mondays at 11:00, and we’re having PE classes on Wednesdays at 11:00.”
The day and times for each of the classes are available on their On The Move Facebook page. For more information or to register for this upcoming year of classes, contact them using the Facebook page, calling 769-298-8616, or emailing OnTheMove.Enterprise.103@gmail.com.
Congratulations on a successful first year and all the years to come!
