Multi-County with the Foster Grandparent Program hosted at event at the Multi-Purpose building in Quitman on Thursday, February 23.
Multiple vendors attended the event to provide information on different programs that are available to people, and Outreach Health provided free blood pressure and glucose readings to anyone in attendance who wanted one. The following vendors provided information and services: Multi-County Community Service Agency, Outreach Health Services, Humana Insurance, East Central Planning and Development, EMEPA, Shared Health, Jones College – Stonewall Campus, MS Access to Care, Clarke County Chamber of Commerce, and Senior Medicare Patrol of Mississippi.
The Foster Grandparent Program conducted a drive to collect personal hygiene items that they chose to donate to Quitman School District to provide to students in need. Supervisor Mickey Long accepted the donation on behalf of the school district.
The event demonstrated just a glimpse of the assistance that Multi-County is able to provide to the community. They will continue to bridge the gap for those in need and be a powerful resource for the community.
