NATIONAL SUMMARY
Afternoon thunderstorms in eastern Colorado, southwestern
Nebraska, western and central Kansas, the Texas Panhandle
and northwestern Oklahoma can bring flooding downpours,
hail, damaging wind gusts and an isolated tornado tomorrow.
Those storms will spread across the rest of Kansas and
Oklahoma overnight, with all severe hazards still possible.
Typical afternoon thunderstorms will ignite across much of
the Southeast. Thunderstorms in the northern mid-Atlantic
and interior Northeast will also be mainly in the afternoon,
but a few could occur at any time from central New York to
central Pennsylvania. Afternoon thundershowers will dot the
mountains of Idaho, Wyoming and southern Montana. The
Northwest will turn less hot, but extreme heat will continue
to bake the Desert Southwest.
