The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, February 13, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm will bring a large area of snow to areas of
the Northeast, mixing with rain into New Jersey before
transitioning to rain in southern Maryland tomorrow. Snow
can cause slippery travel conditions among the affected
areas as snow can be moderate to perhaps heavy at times,
with gusty winds even bringing blowing snow for some.
Conditions in the Southeast will finally dry out in the wake
of severe weather, though breezy conditions will still
remain in place for some. Meanwhile, pockets of lake-effect
snow will once again return to parts of the Great Lakes,
gradually moving into the Northeast into the overnight
hours. At the same time, a weak storm will bring areas of
snow to Montana and western South Dakota, while much of the
Southwest remains dry.
