NATIONAL SUMMARY
Late-afternoon thunderstorms can bring flooding downpours,
hail, damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes from Kansas
to Arkansas and northern Texas tomorrow. There will be a
significant risk for damaging winds, tornadoes and large
hail in southeastern Kansas and northeastern and central
Oklahoma. Those storms will move as far east as southern
Illinois and western portions of Kentucky and Tennessee
overnight. Spotty, non-severe thunderstorms will rumble from
upstate New York to Georgia. A morning shower or two will
dampen western Florida, while an afternoon thunderstorm may
affect the eastern peninsula. Much of the northern and
central Rockies can expect thunderstorms. In the Southwest,
gusty winds, low humidity and dry brush will result in a
high fire threat in eastern Arizona and much of New Mexico.
