NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers and thunderstorms will spread from the Mississippi
Valley to the Northeast as a cold front drapes across the
nation tomorrow. Any thunderstorm will be capable of
producing flooding downpours, hail and damaging wind gusts.
Behind the front, cooler and less humid weather will return
to the northern Plains. There can be a spotty thunderstorm
or two mainly along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts in the
Southeast, as well as in Florida. In the West, afternoon
thunderstorms may develop across much of the Rockies. Any
thunderstorm may produce flash flooding across portions of
New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. A storm will approach the
Northwest, bringing showers to western Washington. Much of
the southern and western portions of the nation will
continue to experience hot conditions.
