_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As Beryl tracks across the Great Lakes region tomorrow, it
will spread heavy, flooding rain from Indiana and Kentucky
northeast to southern Canada. There is a risk of damaging
winds and tornadoes in the eastern Ohio Valley, Pennsylvania
and southern New York. It will be hot and very humid across
the Southeast and mid-Atlantic with a drenching afternoon
thunderstorm in spots. The northern and central Plains will
be mainly sunny and dry with Beryl passing off to the
southeast. An area of high pressure anchored over the West
will continue to promote a prolonged stretch of dry weather,
sunny skies and dangerous heat. The heat will expand into
the western Rocky Mountains. Many locations will break daily
record highs and even approach all-time records. It will
become less hot along the coast of the Pacific Northwest.
