_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Beryl will bring instances of flash flooding to upstate New
York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine tomorrow. A second
zone of potential flash flooding from thunderstorms will
stretch from central and southern Maryland and Delaware
southwestward to central North Carolina. Spotty
thunderstorms are expected to rumble along the immediate
Gulf coast, primarily in the afternoon. Thunderstorms may be
a bit more numerous in the central Florida Peninsula. Other
spotty afternoon thundershowers are likely in the mountains
of central Colorado and central New Mexico. While western
Washington and northwestern Oregon will not be quite as hot
as recent days, much of the rest of the West will continue
to bake in record-challenging heat. That heat will also
begin to expand eastward, into the northern Rockies.
