NATIONAL SUMMARY
Steady rain will fall in Maine tomorrow, with rain tapering
off during the afternoon in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Elsewhere across the Northeast, spotty showers will dampen
the region. Locations as far south as Virginia and as far
west as Tennessee will run the risk for a passing shower or
two. Precipitation is expected to be more widespread around
the Great Lakes, with snowflakes mixing in with the rain
over portions of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Lower
Michigan. Mainly snow will fall in Iowa and Wisconsin. An
inch or two can even accumulate in the Upper Peninsula of
Michigan. A few showers will occur in western portions of
Washington and Oregon, with some snow in the Washington
Cascades. Unseasonable warmth will peak in California, with
many locations challenging or breaking records.
