NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms will be focused in the Southeast tomorrow,
stretching from southeastern Virginia to the Texas Gulf
Coast. In addition to a flash flood threat from repeated
rounds of heavy rain, a few storms may turn severe with
gusty winds as the primary threat. Farther north in the
eastern Great Lakes, more isolated and less intense
thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon. In the
Montana High Plains, isolated storms will develop and may
turn severe, with hail and damaging winds possible as storms
continue after dark. Extreme heat will continue in the
southern Plains and Intermountain West, with triple-digit
high temperatures possible as far north as eastern
Washington. In Arizona, New Mexico and southern Colorado,
monsoonal moisture may allow for increased thunderstorm
activity.
