The Nation's Weather for Saturday, October 22, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm dipping into the West tomorrow will bring hazardous
conditions from western California to Montana. Rain and
higher-elevation snow will be the main threats, along with
strong winds from California to Wyoming to New Mexico. While
this will likely bring an end to the poor air quality and
wildfires in the Northwest, debris flows will be possible in
recent burn scar areas. Not much precipitation is expected
elsewhere across the lower 48 except for a possible shower
along the Southeast coast and a few-late thunderstorms in
Arizona. The central portion of the country will begin to
warm up while the Southeast, especially Florida, remains
unseasonably cool for this time of year. Some spots in
central Texas and far Southern California could reach
upwards of 90 degrees.
