NATIONAL SUMMARY
Snow showers and flurries will occur in much of the
Northeast tomorrow. Accumulations will generally be an inch
or less. A coastal storm beginning to take shape off the
East Coast is expected to bring afternoon showers and rain
to the eastern Carolinas. A few showers may dampen locations
as far south as Florida. This storm will move northward
Saturday, with a blizzard possibly unfolding in eastern New
England. Snow may fall as far west as the coastal
mid-Atlantic. Lake-effect snow is expected downwind of Lake
Superior, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron tomorrow. Meanwhile,
a soaking rain is forecast in South Texas. On the far
northern fringe of the precipitation, some snowflakes may
mix in with the rain near the Big Bend of Texas. The
precipitation should move offshore by midafternoon.
