The Clarke County Ballers stand in front of the newly unveiled sign for Shirley-Owens Memorial Park. Shirley-Owens High School was named after William Shirley and Samuel Owens. Many people have fond memories attending school and are proud to have this memorial in place.

The Panama Canal and Ice Water in Hell

The United States spent almost $500 million (roughly equivalent to $15.2 billion in 2023) to finish the Panama Canal project. This was by far the largest American engineering project to date. The canal was formally opened on 15 August 1914, with the passage of the cargo ship SS Ancon.

EHS Volleyball Awards

The Enterprise Volleyball program recently held its awards night. Coach Guy stated that this varsity team ended the season with a 19-5 record and clinched the district championship (first in school history of program). This team is also sending two to the next level to continue to play volleyball.
