“But he did not answer her a word.” (Matt. 15:23) A Canaanite woman cried out in desperate need. Her life was dangling on the edge of hopelessness and despair because her daughter was tormented by an evil spirit and she could find no help. The world offered her neither relief nor rescue—the Lord was her last hope.
