Mississippi NICA and Mississippi State Parks are sponsoring a “Try-It-Out” mountain bike event on Saturday, August 17, at 9:00 a.m. from the multipurpose field at Clarkco State Park, located at 386 Clark County Road in Quitman.
This event is free and for students in fifth through twelfth grades so that they can discover mountain biking through fun games and activities led by licensed mountain bike coaches from the East Mississippi Scorpions Composite Mountain Bike Team.
There will be opportunities ranging from riders and coaches to parent volunteers and sponsors.
All you need in order to participate is your bike and helmet. If you don’t have a bike or helmet, it’s no problem! Just let NICA know ahead of time, and they will take care of it. A signed waiver will also be required. The waiver can be filled out at the event.
