The 12th-ranked Jones College Bobcats rolled to a 9-0 win over Holmes here Tuesday afternoon at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
Jones is now 12-0 overall, 7-0 in the MACCC.
Tom Garrett (Australia) and Juan Francisco Pereyra (Argentina) beat Andrew Merrell and Gage Smith 8-0 in No. 1 doubles and Ridge Jones (Northeast Jones) and Felipe Morales (Ecuador) defeated Alexas Janos and Adison Johnson in No. 2 doubles, 8-0. Ryan Roth (Resurrection Catholic) and Reese Touchet (Madison Central) defeated Noah Johnson and Micah Guttery in No. 3 doubles, 8-0.
Pereyra beat Wyatt Dyess in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and Garrett defeated Merrell in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Morales defeated Janos in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and Jones downed Smith in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Luke Westmoreland (Grenada) beat Guttery in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and Roth downed Johnson in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-1.
In extra matches, Crews Cockrell (West Jones) blanked Johnsson, 6-0, 6-0 and Nicholas Marengo (Forrest County AHS) defeated Matthew Melton, 8-0.
