Brent Robinson, age 72, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was born November 28, 1949, in Port Townsend, Washington, to E.B. and Annie Ruth (Mosley) Robinson. He grew up in Pensacola, Florida, and moved to Quitman, Mississippi, where he graduated from Zack Huggins High School in 1968 followed by Jones Jr. College in 1970.
Brent married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Kemp, on June 19, 1971, in Quitman, Mississippi.
He worked for Amerada Hess for 25 years where he began his career as maintenance operator and worked his way up to production foreman. He later worked with Denbury Resources for 20 years as a superintendent and retired in 2015.
He and his wife Kathy enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren, as well as riding their horses at home and in Tennessee. They enjoyed several pack trips in the Rockies, Utah, and Arizona.
Brent was a member of First Baptist Church, Quitman, Mississippi. He loved the Lord and his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Brent is survived by his loving wife Kathy; three sisters, Betty Bellanca, Peggy Kanzigg, and Cindy (Greg) Rodrique; his son, Brent (Christy) Robinson II; and his daughter, Amy (Wade) Burke; his grandchildren, Taylor and Dallas Robinson, Luke Bruntlett, Jax McClain, and Acey Burke.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Coats officiating.
