Cherie Diane Higdon, 68, of Quitman, Mississippi passed away on September 19, 2022, at Anderson's Hospital. She was born on November 7, 1953, to Innis and Mildred (Boutwell) McLeod in Lafayette, LA. She was a lifelong member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Cherie is survived by her husband, Roy D. Higdon; son, Ryan D. (Anna) Higdon; two daughters, Ashley C. (Alan) Hagwood, and Leslie C. Higdon; three grandchildren, Paige Hagwood, Malorie Hagwood, and William Higdon; brother, Joey (Kathy) Mcleod.
She was preceded in death by her father, Innis Red McLeod; and mother, Mildred Ruth McLeod.
Visitation was held Wednesday, September 21, 2022, after 5:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Irby officiating. Burial took place in the McGowan's Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Taormina III, Paul Taormina II, Lee Blackburn, Rusty McMillian, Ken Chatam, Will Higdon, Joe McLeod, Jeff McLeod and Bruce McLeod.
