Dora Bonceil "Bonnie" McAdams, 90, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on June 16, 2022, in Hattiesburg, MS.
She was born on February 28, 1932, to Willis and Maggie Lee (Long) Fuller in Clarke County, MS.
She was a life long resident of Clarke County, MS. She attended Antioch Baptist Church in Clarke County and was a Sunday school teacher for the adult class. She once enjoyed painting, planting a variety of flowers in her yard, and sewing clothes for herself and her daughters. She is known for her Christmas decorations. Once she decorated three acres of her land for Christmas depicting the life of Christ from birth to death and people traveled from all over to see her Christmas creation. She enjoyed reading books and magazines, doing word search puzzles, listening to gospel music, and watching game shows on television. She traveled with friends throughout the Southeast after her husband passed. Her favorite foods were homemade chocolate pie, fried chicken, potato soup, and banana pudding. She found comfort in spending time with her family and reading her Bible.
Dora is survived by her son, Gary (Sandy) McAdams; three daughters, Brenda (Howard) Turberville, Wanda (Glen) Mosley, and Robyn (David) Williams; 10 grandchildren, Tracy (Dale) Moore, Jeremy (Catherine) McAdams, Chris (Crystal) Mosley, April (Johnny) Swancey, Saige Turberville, Courtney Nordyke, Ryan (Chalice) Twiner, Kelli (Tim) Ainsworth, Shon Turberville, and Ryan Turberville; 15 great grandchildren, Gavin Mosley, Harley Mosley, Lily Mosley, Noah Swancey, Memphis Swancey, Miley Swancey, Hunter Ainsworth, Madison Ishee, Peyton McAdams, Kelsey McAdams, Jessi Joiner, Lillie Joiner, Ethan Joiner, Camaron Twiner, and Harley Twiner; and sister, Betty Jo Fountain.
She was preceded in death by father, Willis Alvin Fuller; mother, Maggie Lee Long Fuller; son, James Michael Daugherty; husband, Frank McAdams; two brothers, Russell Lee Fuller and Adie Fuller; sister, Leota Avera.
Visitation was held Monday, June 20, 2022, after 11:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 20, 1:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Williams officiating.
Burial took place in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Saige Turberville, Chris Mosley, Gavin Mosley, Peyton McAdams, Dale Moore and Ryan Twiner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matt Mayo, David Mayo, Mike Johnson, Stevie Conner and Larry Fleming.
