Helen Irene Griffin, 81, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2021, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She was born on September 6, 1940, to Jamie and Vera (Simpson) Tims in Quitman.
Helen is survived by her son, William (Theresa) Griffin; daughter, Patricia Johnson; granddaughters, LaShane (Michael) Sparrow and Lisa D'Anglo-Thompson; grandsons, Les (Jordan) Griffin, Jamie (Melissa) Griffin, and Jason Lee; great-grandsons, Sam, Reed, Nathan, Peyton, Aaron, and Mason; great-granddaughters, Sophie, Matilda and Avaleigh.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Lester Leon Griffin; parents, Jamie and Vera Simpson Tims; brother, Ernest Tims; sisters, Janie Pulley and Edna Roberts; great-granddaughter, Darla Sparrow.
Visitation was held Friday, December 3, 2021, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman.
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 3, 11:00 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Coats officiating. Burial took place in the East Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Sparrow, Jason Lee, Jamie Griffin, Les Griffin, William Roberts, and Chris Griffin.
