James "Butthead" Robert Robinson, 82, originally of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on February 3, 2022, at his residence in Brandon, Mississippi. He was born on March 22, 1939, to Talmadge Dewitt and Jewell Inez (Jones) Robinson in Stonewall, Mississippi.
James "Butthead" is survived by his sons, Phillip Dewitt (Maggie) Robinson and James Michael Robinson; daughter, Teresa Robinson (Mac) McLaughlin; brothers, Benny Lee Robinson and Carl Richard (Pat) Robinson; sister, Verna Robinson Brock; grandsons, Forrest Robert Robinson and James Ledger Robinson; granddaughters, Stephanie (Joe) Robinson Sanderford, Katelyn Robinson, Krystal (Garrett) McDaniels, Rachel Sisson and Courtney (Dylan) Richie; grandson, Kutter McLaughlin and Daniel (Megan) Sisson; along with an abundance of great grandchildren (and counting), and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Jean Robinson; parents, Talmadge Dewitt and Jewell Inez Robinson; son, James Robert Robinson, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Lynn (Mark) Shumock; brothers, Charles Edward (Dot) Robinson and Talmadge "Bud" Dewitt (Bobbie) Robinson, Jr.; and sister, Linda Joyce (Marion) Sexton.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 7, 11:30 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Lafferty officiating.
Burial will take place in the Archusa Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Sisson, Kutter McLaughlin, Mac McLaughlin, Talmadge Robinson, Doug Brock, Steve Jackson, Jerry Robinson and Trevor Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Sisson, Kim Sifferlen, Seth Robinson, Forrest Robert Robinson and James Ledger Robinson.
