Minnie Lee Stewart, 102, of Stonewall, Mississippi, passed away on December 19, 2021, at Anderson's Hospital.
She was born on April 5, 1919, to Robert and Dooley (Weir) Cooley in Clarke County, MS.
Minnie Lee was a longtime employee of Burlington Industries in Stonewall. She was a member of Rolling Creek Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She also had her closest companion "Sport" by her side helping her around the house.
Minnie Lee is survived by her son, James Ricky (Vickie) Stewart, Sr.; two grandsons, Rufus J. (Kristy) Stewart and James Ricky Stewart, Jr.; granddaughter, Mitzy S. (Clint) Earnhart; five great-grandchildren, Skylar Earnhart, Cannon Earnhart, Madelin Stewart, Junior Stewart, and Angel Stewart; and sister, Joyce (Alex) Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Clarence Cooley; mother, Dooley Cooley; and two sisters, Mabel Grace Harper and Claudie Mae Hawkins.
Visitation was held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 22, 3:00 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Burial took place in the Rolling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
