A memorial service for Perry Solon Rich, age 78, of Stonewall, Mississippi, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Stonewall United Methodist Church with Rev. Patty Robinson and Rev. Pat Oakes officiating.
Perry Solon Rich was born on November 2, 1943, in Quitman, Mississippi, to the late John “Frank” Rich and Audry Ruelene Cox. Perry grew up in Stonewall, Mississippi. He loved baseball, hunting, fishing, and woodwork. He was an active member of the Stonewall Historical Society. Perry was a member of Stonewall United Methodist Church and Hopewell Methodist Church. Perry passed away peacefully, at his daughter’s home in Tennessee, on March 6, 2022.
Perry is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rich; son, Roger Dale Rich; parents, Frank Rich and Audry Cox; and grandparents, Luther and Fannie Williams.
He is survived by his twin brother, Jerry (Terry) Rich; son, Perry “Larmar” Rich of Mississippi; daughters, Wendy Sue (Shawn) Mizelle of Alabama, Teresa Mae (Eric) Elrod of Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Lisa Rich of Mississippi; grandchildren, Hunter (Stephanie) Rich, Caleb (Lauren) Rich, Callie Rich, Brandon Mizelle, Justin (Brooke) Mizelle, Shalah Mizelle, Jessica (Korey) Murray, Tori (Jeff) Zdenek, Sammi Jo (Nathan) Ross, Kirbie Simms, Faith (Zane) Cashion, and Ava Elrod; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
