Rita T. Goodman, 77, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away on September 7, 2022, at her residence. She was born on December 30, 1944, to Falcon and Drucille (Hunt) Thompson in Meridian, MS.
Rita is survived by her husband, Marcell Goodman; son, Robby (Lynese) Goodman; two grandchildren, Grant Goodman and Shelby (Brandon) Sullivan; three great grandchildren, Maisyn Baxley, Ava Sullivan, and Whitley Sullivan; two sisters, Sandra (Edwin) Lummus and Sherry (David) Archie; brother, Keith Thompson; two sisters-in-law, Linda and Zona; and several nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her father, Falcon Cullen Thompson; mother Drucille Hunt Thompson; son, Timothy John Goodman; two brothers, Abe Thompson and Sidney Thompson.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 1, 2022, at Union Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.
