Vera Inez Lewis, 95, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on December 24, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 16, 1926, to James Walter and Carrie Mae (Long) Robinson in Quitman, MS.
Inez is survived by her daughters, Donna (Donald) Schrimpshire, Renee Lewis, and Diane (Tom) Mayfield; sons, Carroll (Ann) Lewis and David Lewis; grandsons, Billy (Chastity) Lewis and Scott Lewis; granddaughters, Belinda (Keith) Ramage, Amy (Jay) McArthur, Angie (Chip) Ledbetter, Ashley (Andrew) Norton, Christy Mayfield, Alexandria Mayfield, Brandi Mayfield, and Jennifer (Bill) Wilkins; great-grandsons, Jordan (Erica) Lewis, Jace McArthur, Cadden McArthur, Luke Norton, Kade Ledbetter; great-granddaughters, Janna Lewis, Kayla Ramage, Kirsten Ramage, Avery Ramage, Caroline Norton, Victoria Mayfield, Allie Klaire Ledbetter; daughters-in-law, Barbara (Ralph) Young and Rose (Andrew) Poole; sister, Irene (Danny) Fleming; and brother, Bo Robinson; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie "Pete" Lee Lewis; mother, Carrie Mae Robinson; father, James Walter Robinson; sons, Bill Lewis, Danny Lewis, Roger Lewis, and Jerry Lewis; grandson, Jason Lewis; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Lewis.
Visitation was held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Manning officiating. Burial took place in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Quitman, MS.
Pallbearers were Billy Lewis, Jordan Lewis, Bo Robinson, James Lee Beckman, Isaac Pena and Edward McNail.
