Alberta “Shorty” Busby, 88, of Stonewall, MS, passed away on March 30, 2016, in Pachuta, MS. She was born on June 13, 1927, to Will and Lucy Southern in Meridian, MS.
Alberta is survived by her son, Peter (Diane) Busby; grandchildren, Jody (Angel) Busby and Kyle Busby; great-granddaughter, Austin Busby; step grandchildren, Marcie (Steven) Nagel, Matt (Allison) Mason, Melissa (John) Taylor, and Malynda Mason; eight step great-grandchildren; and niece, Joyce Parks.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Busby.
Visitation was held Thursday, March 31, 2016, 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, MS.
Graveside services were held on Friday, April 1, 10:00 am at the Snell Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Tyrone Wells and Rev. Dennis Coats officiating.
