Alton Roy Rodgers, 72, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on August 21, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on March 29, 1948, to Eddie Lee and Vera Cora (Fleming) Rodgers in Clarke County, MS.
Alton is survived by his wife, Marie Rodgers; two daughters, Lisa (David) Taylor, and Linda Rodgers; two brothers, Nelson Rodgers, and Jimmy Rodgers; sister, Carolyn Riggs; two granddaughters, Hayleigh Taylor and Kaylee Woodward; and several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Lee and Vera Cora Rodgers; two sisters, and four brothers.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 24, 2020, after 5:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Chancellor officiating. Burial will take place in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lavell Boykin, Woody Boykin, Austin Boykin, Mike Schwartz, Joey Reus and Gene Bishop.
