Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Frances Robinson Roberts of Carmichael, MS, were held Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church in Quitman, MS, with Rev. Travis McManus officiating. Visitation was held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Sister Roberts was born March 16, 1932, in Choctaw County, AL, to Samuel Robinson, Sr. and Ruby Mosley Robinson. She was promoted to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the age of 91. She enjoyed being a pastor’s wife and working diligently at Rev. Les’ side in every aspect of their ministry for 62 years and five churches. She also found joy in taking care of her family, cooking, and watching gospel preaching and music on TV.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Rev. Leslie Roberts of Carmichael, MS; sons, David Roberts (Sandy), Danny Roberts, and Keith Roberts (Hope), all of Carmichael, MS; grandchildren, Amanda Coleman (Robert) of Clinton, MS, Brad Roberts of Enterprise, MS, Abbie Herrington (Jordan) of Bailey, MS, and Adrian Roberts of Carmichael, MS; great granddaughters, Sarah Grace Coleman and Caroline Coleman of Clinton, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews who truly loved their “Aunt Bett.”
She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Robinson, Sr.; mother, Ruby M. Robinson; brother, Sam Robinson, Jr.; and sisters, Joyce Hollinghead and Daphna Gibson.
Serving as pallbearers were Cleve Roberts, Brad Roberts, Mark Roberts, Adrian Roberts, Sammy Robinson, and Jordan Herrington.
