Carol Annette Platt Wedgeworth, 62, of Quitman, passed away on November 28, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on November 23, 1954 to Joseph and Anna (Rashe) Platt in Shubuta, MS.
Carol was a Hospice Volunteer. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed playing the piano, spending time gardening and taking care of her animals.
Carol is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wedgeworth; son, Brian (Sally) Wedgeworth; daughters, Sonya (James) Tyrney and Allison (Jacob) Cuevas; sisters, Barbara Ann (Albert) Embrey and Betty Jo (Donnie) Ivy; grandchildren, Brooklyn Cuevas, Ciarra Cuevas, Justin Mayo, Macy Dane Wedgeworth, and Danielle Wilson; and great-grandson, Everett Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Mae Platt; and brothers, Dan Platt and Douglas Platt.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016, 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Shubuta, Mississippi.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, 2:30 pm at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Irby officiating.
