Charles Edwin Ivy, 82, of Shubuta, Mississippi, passed away on November 23, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 8, 1938, to John Earl and Ida (Lane) Ivy in Shubuta, MS.
Charles is survived by his sons, Donnie Edwin (Betty Jo) Ivy and Charles Allen (Donna) Ivy; daughter, Carol Holifield; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Earl and Ida Mae Ivy; wife, Rosie Olevia Ivy; grandson, Jon Anthony Ivy; brother, Daniel L. Ivy, and sister, Edna E. Shaver.
Visitation was held Wednesday, November 25, 2020, 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Shubuta, Mississippi.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Walker, Rev. David Manasco, and Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Burial took place in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dakota Doggett, Hunter Holifield, Mason Ivy, Caden Ivy, Wayne Carr, and Daniel Starks. Honorary Pallbearers were Lance Ivy, Jeffery Ivy, Jack Aniel, Noelle Provence, Amanda Watkins, Michael Ivy, Amber Mae Lane Jones, Brayden Doggett, Layken Wofford, Tayden Jon Doggett, Jaggyr Ivy, Aubery Ivy, Gavin Ivy, Piper Murray, and Austin Jones.
