Delores Leathe Holifield, 80, of Quitman, passed away on January 23, 2017 at Specialty Hospital in Meridian. She was born on May 19, 1936 to Andrew and Iva (Gossett) Lawson in Phoenix, AZ.
Delores is survived by her son, Larry (Teresa) Holifield; daughters, Lana (Don) Lewis and Tammy (Chantay) Hampton; brother, Bobby Lawson; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Raymond Holifield, Sr.; son, Robert Raymond Holifield, Jr., parents, Andrew Jackson and Iva Lawson; and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 5:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017, 2:00 pm at the Archusa Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Terry Steppe, officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Lewis, Dale Holifield, Chris Holifield, Allen Holifield, Chantay Hampton, and Timothy Steppe.
