Doris Oree Davis, 81, of Stonewall, MS, passed away on March 11, 2016, at Rush Hospital.
Oree was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Stonewall. She enjoyed working with and being involved in the Town of Stonewall and looked forward to the annual Christmas Parade each year. She loved gardening and watching birds in The Stonewall Bird Sanctuary.
She is survived by her sons, Tim (Regina) Davis, and Mike Davis; sister, Faye Martin; grandsons, Scott (Nicole) Davis, Kyle Davis, and Evan Davis; great-granddaughter, Madelyn Davis; and great-grandson, Patton Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo "Pete" Davis; father, Ocie Smith; mother, Audie Willis; step-father, Martin Willis; granddaughter, Jina Ree Davis; and brother, Daniel Willis.
Visitation was held Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 9:30 - 11:00 am at Stonewall Baptist Church, Stonewall.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 11:00 am at the Stonewall Baptist Church, with Rev. Nick Ulmer, officiating.
Burial took place in the Stonewall Cemetery.
