Dorothy Jean Cameron McKenzie, age 62, passed away November 30, 2016.
She was born August 8, 1954, to James Cameron and Lurena Cameron in Quitman, MS. She joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from Quitman High School and was employed with Lowe's for 15 years as a Kitchen Cabinet Specialist.
"Dot" as she was affectionately called by her closest family and friends, was preceded in death by her father, James M. Cameron; her mother, Lurena “Sissy” Taylor Cameron; and brother, Willie Lee Cameron.
She leaves the following to cherish her memories: two loving and dedicated sons and daughters-in-law: Kevin (Tracey), St. Marys, GA, and Travis (Tia), Albemarle, NC; five loving grandsons: Kevonn, Kevin, Keman, CJ, and Randy; best friend, Katie Mae Scott and Harrison family; a host of nieces, cousins, Lowe's family, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 10-11a.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 120 County Rd 409, Quitman, MS, with services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Quitman.
Berry and Gardner Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
