Ethel Davis Jackson, 87, of Stonewall, Mississippi, passed away on September 26, 2020.
She was born on April 7, 1933, to Ed and Lura (Long) Davis in Quitman, MS.
Ethel was an active member of Stonewall Baptist Church in Stonewall, MS. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, being a 4-H leader, and gardening, especially "pulling weeds". She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that knew how to take care of her family and balance her educational dreams as she went back to college and was named to the Dean's List at JCJC while she was in her 40's. Ethel was ALWAYS LATE for everything.
Ethel is survived by husband, Johnny Ray Jackson; four sons, Danny "Buck" (Sheila) Smith, Bruce (Tammy) Martin, Charles (Tammy) Martin, and Johnny (Tonya) Jackson; daughter, Kim (Fred) Hansard; two sisters, Annie Pearl Callahan and Nell Gavin; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Lura Davis; stepdaughter, Rachel Robinson; great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Murray; six brothers; and five sisters.
Pallbearers were Tommy Davis, Jeff Donald, Ryan Smith, Ridge Jackson, Kyle Chancelor, Wiley Williams, Benjie Fleming, and Troy Smith.
Visitation was held Monday, September 28, 2020, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Stonewall Baptist Church, Stonewall, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 28, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at the Stonewall Baptist Church, with Rev. Wilton Bennett and Rev. Tony Meinhardt officiating.
Burial took place in the Stonewall Cemetery.
