George David Campbell, 83, of Quitman, passed away on January 30, 2017 at Rush Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1933 to George and Faith (VanNess) Campbell in DeSoto, MS. He retired from U. S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran.
David is survived by his wife, Tommie R. Campbell; daughter, Olevia (Ernest) Tucker; sisters, Susie Mae Sims and Ruth Clark; and grandson, Samuel Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington and Faith Campbell, and brothers, John Campbell and Alton Campbell.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017, after 5:30 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017, 12:30 pm at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gary McInnis and Sister Jackie Boone officiating. Burial will take place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Roberson, Darrell Roberson, Richard Habour, Terry Campbell, John Jordan, and Kevin Irby.
