Hazel Louise Broadhead
Hazel Louise Broadhead, 83, of Quitman, MS, passed away on May 16, 2016, at Anderson's Hospital.
She was born on April 9, 1933, to James and Hazel (Jones) McQuaig in Stonewall, MS.
She was a member of Cooper’s Chapel Threads of Love Sewing group. Her sons were her greatest achievement and she took pride in the way they were raised. Cooking for family was very important to her and the two family cookbooks added to her large collection of cookbooks.
Hazel is survived by her husband, Hubert L. Broadhead; sons, Phillip W. (Tommie Jean) Broadhead, Stanley (Rhonda) Broadhead, Greg Broadhead, and Don (Anita) Broadhead; grandchildren, Sara (David) Turner and Amanda (Andrew) Alvarado; great grandchild, Ryland Alvarado; and sisters, Elizabeth Hamrick and Lois Atkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James D. and Hazel McQuaig and brother, James McQuaig, Jr.
Visitation was held Wednesday, May 18, 2016, 9:00-11:00 am at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, MS.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 18, 11:00 am at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley Pepper officiating.
Burial took place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
