Helen Grisham Williams, 85, of Quitman, passed away on July 31, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on February 17, 1931 to Rev. O.F. and Della Patterson Grisham.
She was a caring and compassionate woman that loved her family and friends with all of her heart. After retiring from AT&T, she was able to enjoy gardening and traveling. Helen was also actively involved in mission work helping to build churches throughout the United States.
She is survived by her loving husband Algie Oliver Williams, whom she was married to for 60 years, children Michael (Pam) Williams, Nancy (Robert) Ray, and David (Angela) Williams, siblings James Grisham, Earline Lawrence, Francis Sheffield, Nellie Ruth Mercurio, Joe Grisham, Paul Grisham, Phillip Grisham.
Helen had 5 grandchildren, Nicole (John) Nelson, Robin (Gustav) Ray-Berg, Katelyn Williams, Kristen (Robert) Strong, Kevin Williams, 2 great grandchildren, Murphy and Emerson Nelson.
Helen is preceded in death by her mother Della Grisham, father Rev. O.F. Grisham, stepmother Dorothy Grisham, brother David Grisham, and sister Esther Ruth Eaton.
The funeral service will be held at Wright’s Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi on August 4, 2016. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm with services at 2:00 pm with Rev. Keith Yelverton of Desoto Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Tabernacle Cemetery.
