James W. "Billy" Oglesby, 87, of Stonewall, passed away on January 11, 2017 at Wisteria Manor.
He was born on October 29, 1929 to Raymond and Sadie (Prince) Oglesby in Stonewall, MS. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Stonewall, MS.
Billy is survived by his wife, Alice Oglesby; son, Tim (Jolanda) Oglesby; daughters, Tammy L. (Bruce) Martin and Beverly Core; brothers, Lanky Oglesby, Bobby Joe Barton, and Ray Oglesby; sister, Lois Smith; grandchildren, Lindsey Graham, Emily Holifield, Adrienne Core, and Allison Moseley; great-grandchildren, Harper Moseley, Everett Moseley, and Marlowe Holifield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Sadie Lou Oglesby; and brother, Guinn Oglesby.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Stonewall Methodist Church, Stonewall, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, 11:00 am at the Stonewall Methodist Church, with Rev. Dennis Coats officiating. Burial will take place in the Stonewall Cemetery.
